Community School of Music and Arts has been the leader in high-quality music education in Silicon Valley since our founding in 1968 and we are thrilled to bring music learning to the Belmont area!

The CSMA program stands out because of our highly qualified music faculty–they have trained in many of the top music schools in the world and work collaboratively with students to achieve their goals. Our Belmont music program features personalized instruction in piano, guitar, violin and voice. We offer private lessons for children, teens and adults. Enrollment is now open, and we invite you to sign up for a trial lesson for only $30 — with no commitment!

CSMA is committed to matching every student with a teacher appropriate for learning style, level and goals. CSMA’s Private Lesson Team will work closely with new students or their parents to assist with teacher placement and to answer questions.

CONTINUING STUDENTS:
Continuing students receive registration notice prior to each semester. They have priority for time/date selection for their lessons.

FALL 2026: AUGUST 18 - JANUARY 16
30-minute: $1,179 per semester ($65.50/lesson)
CSMA is now offering tuition payment plans. Students may make payments in up to 4 installments. We also offer financial aid for qualified students – For more information regarding financial aid, please contact Student Services at info@arts4all.org.
Policies
Withdrawals
Withdrawal Prior to the First Lesson: Students may withdraw at any time prior to the first lesson of a scheduled semester for a full refund or credit.
Withdrawal After the First Lesson: Students may withdraw from lessons at any time during the semester by providing a minimum of 30 days written notice.
Timeline: Payments and credits are distributed within 14 business days once CSMA receives the required Withdrawal Form.
Required Withdrawal Process:
- The withdrawal request must be sent in writing to belmontcsma@arts4all.org.
- To complete the withdrawal process, students must submit a Withdrawal Form after the request is received.
- The student is financially responsible and liable for the full tuition of all scheduled lessons that fall within the 30-day notice period, regardless of attendance.
- Refund/Credit: Any remaining tuition paid for lessons scheduled after the 30-day notice period will be refunded or credited. CSMA must receive the fully completed Withdrawal Form before a refund or credit will be issued.
- Any lesson credits accumulated due to approved student and/or teacher absences must be scheduled and completed by the final day of the 30-day withdrawal notice period. Lesson credits that are not used by this date will be forfeited.
Absences and Make-Ups
- Approved Absences: Students are permitted up to 2 approved absences per semester during the fall and spring sessions. Notice must be given more than 24 hours before the start of the scheduled lesson that will be missed. Notice given less than 24 hours before the start of the scheduled lesson will not be credited, refunded, or rescheduled.
- Teacher Absence: If a lesson is missed due to a teacher’s absence, a make-up lesson will be scheduled or credited to the student’s CSMA account if it cannot be made up.
- Make-Up Lessons: Makeup lessons for approved student absences and unavoidable teacher absences will be held during one of two options: (1) During our designated Makeup Week and (2) At any available time within a teacher’s schedule throughout the semester.
Teacher Transfers
Students may request to transfer to a different teacher at any time during the semester or session by providing a minimum of 14 days written notice to belmontcsma@arts4all.org.
