Emanuele Moretti

Education and Background

Born and raised in Milano, Italy, Emanuele Moretti spent most of his music career in Los Angeles where he toured and recorded with a diverse range of artists, while also composing for movies and TV. Holding a master’s degree in music, Emanuele’s affinity for 60’s & 70’s sounds is well-known, yet he effortlessly adapts to the latest musical trends and has collaborated with artists across genres including Gloria Trevi, Shaila Durcal, Devon Baldwin, and some of the best tributes across the US such as Blank Space, Lone Star Skynyrd, Idol X, George Michael Reborn, among others.

In a recent radio interview, Emanuele expressed his belief that understanding an artist’s message through their music is paramount, stating “It’s really important to listen to the intention of the artist. You can be of maximum use by just interpreting with your instrument what the artist has to say.”

Now based in San Francisco, Emanuele is planning on leaving his footprint in the local music scene while focusing more on teaching.

Teaching Philosophy

My teaching philosophy centers on the belief that every student is capable of learning and has unique strengths and challenges. As an educator, it is my responsibility to create a safe and inclusive learning environment that encourages students to explore their own ideas and perspectives.

I have extensive experience working with a diverse range of age groups, including kindergarten group lessons, teenagers, parent and child lessons, senior citizens, as well as more advanced gigging musicians. This broad spectrum of experiences has equipped me with the ability to tailor my teaching approach to meet the specific needs and interests of each individual.

I strive to develop meaningful relationships with my students and to provide them with the tools and resources necessary to achieve their academic goals. Learning, in my view, should be an active and collaborative process, where students are encouraged to engage with the material and with each other.

I aim to create opportunities for students to apply their learning in real-world contexts, to develop critical thinking skills, and to become lifelong learners. As a teacher, I am committed to ongoing professional development and staying up-to-date on the latest research and best practices in education. I am dedicated to creating a culture of respect, empathy, and kindness in my classroom, and to providing all students with an equitable and accessible education.
