Explore the meaning of home in new exhibit
Stop by CSMA to see our new Mohr Gallery show, “Welcome Home.” The show features work from various artists sharing their experiences about what home signifies, including place, food, and traditions. The seven featured Bay Area artists include: Louis Jiminez, Qing Xu, Meghna Sharma, Sahar Dolatyari, Luis Garcia, Viviana Leija, and Pedro Rivas López. We will hold an artists’ reception on Sunday, Jan. 26 from 4:30 – 6:30 PM.

Experience "Dual Visions" starting Jan. 13
CSMA is pleased to present the artwork of mother and daughter, Meghna and Anika Sharma. “Dual Visions” is an exhibition of paintings that explores the dynamic interplay between two distinct perspectives — one rooted in the beauty of the present, the other gazing toward imagined possibilities. Together, their creations reflect a rich dialogue between past, present, and future, celebrating the transitions of life and art across generations. Their exhibit will be open from Jan. 13 to Feb. 23 in the Sobrato Hallway.

Submit artwork for Black History Month by Jan. 28
Attention, artists! You’re invited to submit work to be included in our upcoming group art show, “UHURU-A Collective Celebration of Black History and Freedom.” The exhibit will be open from Feb. 8 to April 5. What does freedom look like to you? Is it reflected in the faces within your community or in photos portraying victories of the past?
CSMA is excited to celebrate Black History Month by showcasing black excellence through the lens of history and freedom in this new exhibit. Artists can submit up to five pieces of work. To apply, submit your artist resume/CV in (pdf format) and portfolio images of proposed work to Pedro Rivas López, Senior Arts Program Manager, at: plopez@arts4all.org with “Mohr Gallery Exhibition Proposal” in the subject line. Application deadline is Jan. 28.
