Fall Concert Series

We are thrilled to announce an incredible lineup for our Fall Concert Series in Tateuchi Hall. From vibrant Indian classical traditions and timeless Americana roots to futuristic jazz fusion and exquisite classical piano, this season promises a dynamic journey across musical genres and generations. We are especially proud to spotlight several of our own talented CSMA faculty members alongside world-class guest artists and our inspiring Merit Scholars. Mark your calendars and join us for a season of unforgettable, live musical storytelling!
Free tickets for the first three concerts are now available on our Eventbrite page. Tickets for additional concerts will be released on September 1.
August 8: Anantam – “From One to Infinity” is a vibrant celebration of Indian classical music and dance, exploring the journey from the individual self to the infinite universe through rhythm, melody, and movement. Featuring live performances by eminent musicians from India, the production includes soulful solo performances on the Mardal, Flute, and Sitar, along with captivating presentations of Odissi and Manipuri dance traditions. Blending powerful rhythms, expressive storytelling, and meditative beauty, Anantam offers audiences a unique artistic experience that transcends language and culture.
September 4: Michael Echaniz Trio – “The Music of Wayne Shorter” – Pianist and keyboardist Michael Echaniz (CSMA faculty) and his trio present an acoustic-electric tribute to the music of the late Wayne Shorter, one of the most prolific, influential jazz composers and improvisers of the 20th and 21st centuries. This concert will highlight essential Shorter compositions from his early Blue Note records, time in the Miles Davis Quintet, Weather Report, notable sideman appearances, and beyond, illustrating Shorter’s singular musical conception and evolution as an innovator. The trio features Jeff Denson on acoustic and electric basses and voice and Dillon Vado on drum set. Prepare to experience a colorful, futuristic journey through the lush, improvisatory worlds of post-bop jazz and jazz fusion!
September 18: Dr. Gabriela Calderón & Astrid Morales – “American Sketches: Tales of a Continent” celebrates the rich musical landscapes of North, Central, and South America. Pianists Gabriela Calderón Cornejo (CSMA faculty) and Astrid Morales Torres present a vibrant program that brings together a diverse range of voices, styles, and cultural influences from across the continent. Through these works for piano four hands, the program explores both well-known and lesser-heard repertoire by living composers, with one historical voice offering a point of reflection. Audiences are invited on a dynamic journey through the Americas, discovering music that is colorful, expressive, and deeply rooted in heritage and identity.

Important change to our private lesson policies
Private Music Lesson Update! Based on feedback from our community, CSMA has updated our policies and options to better accommodate families:
Revised Withdrawal Policy: To offer greater flexibility, students will now be able to withdraw at any time during the semester, subject to a 30-day notice period (beginning Fall 2026).
Trial Lessons: Families still deciding on their next steps in music can now self-schedule introductory trial lessons with our faculty on our website.
If you’re considering music lessons for the fall, CSMA’s program offers competitive pricing, a complete music education, and more flexibility than ever! Find out more at our Private Lesson page.
CSMA Art Shows take over area schools!
CSMA’s in-school art program, Art4Schools, just wrapped up its 2026 program. This year, we put on over 30 art shows at school sites and served about 24,000 students!
These art shows are student-curated and reflect the concepts and artists they focused on throughout the year. Our art teachers work hard to create a beautiful display for the school community. Thank you to all of our wonderful teachers for highlighting the amazing work created in the program.

We will miss hearing them fill our halls with music, but we know they are going to do incredible things in their next chapters! 💙
