Community Arts Day was relaunched in 2024 and welcomed more than 500 people to CSMA’s campus in Mountain View. The open-house style event serves as an introduction to your neighborhood arts center and all it has to offer. CSMA is excited to bring it back in 2025!

The free community event is set for 10:00 AM-2:00 PM on Sunday, July 20. It will feature art and music activities for kids, teens, and adults. Event highlights include live music, a food truck, hands-on art and music activities, drop-in classes, community art projects, face painting for kids, instrument exploration, choral singing, and the opportunity to meet members of CSMA’s faculty and staff.

The paint splatter wall was a big hit last year, and we will be bringing it back to the 2025 event. Specifically, attendees can look forward to the following:

Public art projects:

  • Paintball throwing
  • A community mural: The design will allow all ages to work on it. It will have three different areas designed for developmental appropriateness with specific tasks. This will culminate in a completed mural that will be exhibited at CSMA.
  • Cardboard magic! The community will be invited to create together using cardboard and adhesives.

Music school demos:

  • Live jazz combos
  • Choir class demos
  • Early Childhood Music class demos
  • Cover Band class demo & live music
  • Group Keyboard Class demo
  • Trial music lessons and an interactive demo of our Music Theory Lab program.

Take a look at last year’s event photos below. We look forward to seeing you!
