Nora Ayzman

Education and Background

Nora Ayzman sat down at the piano for the first time at age 5, and has been obsessed ever since! She studied at the Odessa State Conservatory in Ukraine, where she received her degree in piano performance. Nora has extensive experience as a performer, giving various solo recitals, and performing in ensembles as well as accompanying. She was part of a chamber ensemble, an accompanist at Odessa State Philharmonic and taught at the Odessa School of Music, Music College and Conservatory.

Through all of this, Nora always came back to teaching. She feels a very strong calling and passion for music education and really loves working with students. She enjoys and appreciates the success and accomplishments of her students more than her own. Nora has decades of teaching experience and enjoys teaching people of all ages, all experience levels, and from all walks of life.

Nora’s students have participated in many competitions, including the United States Open Music Competitions, New Star Piano Competitions, Steinway Piano Competitions, and more. She also has successfully prepared many students to participate in ABRSM Examinations and Certificate of Merit Programs and is a dedicated member of the Music Teachers Association of California.

Teaching Philosophy

“I carefully craft each lesson to allow my students to learn something new every day and to reinforce material from previous lessons, making their piano experience rewarding and enriching. My goal is to ensure that every student leaves their lesson each week with a sense of personal achievement, satisfaction, and pleasure, and are excited to further develop their technique and musicality.”
