Tan Nazare is a Portuguese-born and Scotland-ripened “”triple threat”” performer, educator and researcher. They earned their Bachelor of Music from The University of Edinburgh, a Master of Arts in Music Theory from McGill University and will soon conclude a Master of Arts in Vocal Pedagogy from The University of Essex. Tan has received various awards for both academic and performance achievements.
Currently, Tan performs with the Early Music Singers at Stanford University and is actively seeking collaborations in Baroque music. They are a member of the Society for Music Theory and the National Association for Teachers of Singing.
When not doing something music-related, Tan is likely running after their toddler, organizing drawers with a label maker, or reading a manual for an obscure new hobby.
