Cesar Mendez holds a Bachelor’s degree in music performance with an emphasis in Jazz from INCCA University and a master’s degree in Music Research from La Rioja University. As a music educator, he has worked with students of all ages in the United States, Europe and Colombia in private lessons, classrooms, arts academies and universities. A native Spanish speaker, Cesar specializes in jazz, pop, rock and Latin music. He encourages students to develop their ear along with note reading and encourages singing phrases, rhythms and melodies to support a student’s musical development. In addition to teaching, he has worked as a music producer, vocalist and songwriter.
