Multi-instrumentalist and composer treya lam’s atmospheric voice, liberation-oriented songwriting and fluency on guitar, piano and looped viola recall Nina Simone and Andrew Bird.  Their expansive and intersecting identities inform, but do not define, their work. lam will perform a multidisciplinary work in progress entitled, “otherland: a sapling.” 

  • This is a free community concert and seating is first-come, first-served. No advance tickets are available. Seating is limited.
  • Performances and screenings in Tateuchi Hall are suitable for ages 7 and up. To ensure the best experience for all guests, children should be able to sit quietly during the performance (approx. one hour).
