About This Concert

Sarah Cahill traces the life cycle of the Chaconne, a musical form originating in the Baroque period, from its origins up to the present day, including works by Élisabeth Jacquet de la Guerre, Georg Friedrich Handel, Henry Purcell, Cecile Chaminade, Carl Nielsen, Stefan Wolpe, Sofia Gubaidulina and San Francisco composer Danny Clay.

  • This is a free community concert and seating is first-come, first-served. No advance tickets are available. Face masks are strongly recommended inside Tateuchi Hall. Seating is limited.
  • Performances and screenings in Tateuchi Hall are suitable for ages 7 and up. To ensure the best experience for all guests, children should be able to sit quietly during the performance (approx. one hour).
