CSMA Gala

CSMA’s Gala is the annual school celebration and fundraising event. Proceeds from the Gala provide school subsidies, financial aid and scholarships to students who would otherwise have no access to the arts.

CSMA Celebrates the Arts!

Saturday, June 1, 2019
6:00-9:30pm
Morgan Estate, Los Altos Hills

Event Honorees

CSMA is pleased to recognize Bob Reay and Judi Fan for their longtime support of CSMA and their dedication to arts education in local schools and the community. Bob, an accomplished jazz pianist, has been a part of the CMSA Board of Directors since 1995, and Judi has lent her expertise to the School’s events and marketing efforts. Both Judi and Bob are active school volunteers and support a myriad of arts and academic activities.

Performances and Special Guest: Taylor Eigsti

Each year we are pleased to present outstanding performances by our Merit Scholar students. Our 57 Merit Scholars are chosen by teacher recommendation and audition from over 1,000 CSMA private music lesson students.  We are thrilled to showcase a small number of stunning performances.

In addition, this year our event will include a guest performance by Taylor Eigsti, CSMA alumnus and a two-time Grammy nominee.  CSMA has been awarded a prestigious Hewlett 50 Arts Commissions to partner with Taylor to compose the new jazz music composition “Imagine our Future,” which will incorporate elements crowd-sourced from Bay Area students.  (Taylor will join us tour schedule permitting.)

Located in Los Altos Hills, the Morgan Estate is an impeccably restored historical landmark Tudor estate. The music program will be held in the estate’s grand ballroom with 15th century gilded Venetian ceiling paintings.
