art program

Do you yearn to create, express yourself and enrich your life? Would you like to experience the joy of making art without worrying about grades, academic schedules or whether you are “good enough”?

CSMA’s art classes and camps provide an opportunity for artists of all ages and talent levels to explore their creativity and master new skills in a positive, supportive environment where the learning experience is the priority. Small class sizes allow for personalized instruction from CSMA’s talented art educators, and create communities where students can simply enjoy making art with others.  Teen/adult classes (unless otherwise indicated) are designed to provide instruction appropriate for experience levels of both beginning- and intermediate-level students so that all feel welcome.

Our year-round, comprehensive program for all ages-preschoolers, youth, teens and adults -- provides a diverse choice of weekly classes and vacation camps. Instruction in drawing, painting, ceramics, mixed media and more help students to explore their creativity and develop a foundation of technical skills.

In keeping with our commitment to Arts for All, CSMA offers tuition assistance, scholarships and/or work-study to qualified students. If you wish to apply, please see financial aid or contact our student services staff at 650.917.6800, ext. 0.

Exhibitions and artist talks in CSMA's Mohr Gallery provide students the opportunity to enjoy a spectrum of diverse media and cutting-edge creativity by local and faculty artists, students and nationally and internationally known guests.
