At CSMA students of all ages, abilities and levels can
develop skills and a love of music through private music
lessons or group classes. Private music study offered
year-round includes classical, contemporary, jazz and
popular styles for all ages, pre-school through adult.
Course selections include performance ensembles, theory,
MIDI and many others.
CSMA has a multi-lingual faculty of more than 50 professional
musicians and educators. In addition to outstanding private
teaching, we also offer a complete music education through
opportunities for:
-
Playing music at private lessons and in instrumental
ensembles, with an instructor whose teaching method
meets each student's needs, level and learning style;
-
Listening to music at concerts at
which faculty and locally- and nationally-known guest
artists perform;
-
Learning about music through attendance at
weekly classes and special workshops on theory, history,
musicianship and other topics;
- Performing music at student recitals and
community outreach events.
Special Sound Sampler Sessions
To help children choose an instrument to study!
If your child is new to taking lessons, an excellent way to decide which
instrument would be best to learn is to enroll in our Special Sound
Sampler Sessions offered at the beginning of each semester. Children
have the opportunity to try out a variety of instruments in these fun,
interactive sessions taught by CSMA faculty. Please refer to the course
catalog for more details.
