Sherrie Rinne

Education
Sherrie Rinne earned her BS in Biochemistry from San Jose State University, and worked for twenty years in research and regulatory affairs in the medical diagnostic industry. She has studied music with Martan Mann, Denny Berthiaume, and Sherry Curry.
Performing and Teaching Experience
Sherrie has extensive experience as a music teacher, having worked at CSMA with students of diverse musical backgrounds and taught piano, clarinet, voice, theory, and composition. Though she is not currently actively performing, Sherrie plays piano and vocally performs at numerous small clubs and weddings. Her musical interests are jazz, rock, classical, and composition.
At CSMA
Sherrie has been a member of the CSMA Music Faculty for 27 years, teaching piano, jazz theory, and composition.
Teaching Philosophy and Approach
Of her teaching philosophy, Sherrie says, "I strive to make learning music positive and fun. I teach the way that individual person learns best. Exploring what that is with the student is a joy."
