Steve holds a BA in Psychology from Denison University in Granville, Ohio. He has since pursued his Art Education at the San Francisco Academy of Art College, the Taos Institute for the Arts, the Ah-Haa School in Telluride, Colorado, and the Atlin Art Center in Atlin, British Columbia. He also continues to take workshops with such Watercolor Masters as Charles Reid, Ron Ranson, and Tom Lynch. |
Steve has worked as a Watercolor Instructor and Arts Educator since 1991 at institutions such as the Pacific Art League of Palo Alto, the Palo Alto Art Center, Elderhostel International, Geronimo Educational Study Tours, The Ah-Haa School, and the Las Lomitas After-School Enrichment Program. Steve has been showing work in the Bay Area since the early 1990s. He has won several competitions and "Best-of-Show" awards in various exhibits throughout the Bay Area and he participates annually in Silicon Valley Open Studios, where he enjoys actually selling his paintings too. Steve is also the Editorial Cartoonist for the Palo Alto Daily News where he crafts a humorous visual opinion twice weekly on local politics. He hasn't been tarred & feathered yet... but it could happen.
