Chinh Le CSMA Music Teacher

Education and Background

Chinh Le was born in Vietnam and came to the US in 1980. Mr. Le completed his Bachelor of Music from Indiana University.  He is also a recipient of Artist Diploma program where he studied under Joseph Gingold, Rostislav Dubinsky, Yuval Yaron and Nelli Scholnikova. In 1991 he joined Community School of Music as a violin faculty where he led private, group lessons and chamber music classes. He also prepared students for orchestral auditions and ABSRM exams. His students have been members of San Jose Youth symphony, California Youth Symphony and San Jose Chamber Youth Orchestra. Others of his students have gone to Mc Guild (Canada) and the Indiana University School of Music for higher education.

A prize winner of Julius Stulberg Audition in 1983, Mr. Le has appeared as soloist with The New World Symphony during his tenure there. He is an active performer in South Bay area where he premieres new works with San Jose Chamber Orchestra. He is currently a member of Symphony Silicon Valley and Opera San Jose, as well as serving as the Associate Concertmaster of Santa Cruz Symphony

Teaching Philosophy

Mr. Le believes that everyone, regardless of age or ability, can learn to play music.  All students can reach their full potential through careful and sound teaching methods, active listening and performing.
