Benefits of Giving

With the additional capacity available at our new 25,000 square-foot facility, CSMA has launched new and expanded programs in the traditional and digital arts, as well as an annual, free Arts & Entertainment series in its 236-seat Tateuchi Hall. Following is a summary of CSMA’s in-school and on-site programs that instill a life-long appreciation for the arts and build ongoing patron support.

A gift to the Annual Fund supports:

  • Private music lessons, classes, ensembles, and masterclasses taught by a distinguished, international faculty on over 27 instruments.
  • Award-winning arts-in-the-schools programs (Arts in Action and Music in Action) reaching students from San Mateo to Cupertino with a sequential, comprehensive curriculum.
  • After-school art clubs and vacation camps for children in grades K-8 offer fun and creative art lessons in a safe, supportive atmosphere.
  • Visual arts program for children, youth, teens, and adults in a variety of disciplines, including drawing, painting, printmaking, sculpture, and folk arts.
  • Pre-School programs (Adventures in Art, Adventures in Music) develop the social, emotional, and intellectual potential for several hundred young children annually.
  • Digital music and arts program designed to give traditionally underserved students hands-on access to cutting-edge technology through such classes as digital photography, animation, web design, studio recording, and multimedia composition.
  • Free community outreach programs, including the popular Family Concert Series, Informances in collaboration with Stanford Lively Arts, and visual arts exhibitions featuring world-renowned artists.
  • $185,000 in Financial Aid provided annually.
  • Merit scholarships and coaching for our talented and dedicated students.
  • Salaries for our faculty members, all of whom are professional musicians or practicing artists.

Thank you for considering a gift to CSMA and joining our family of supporters. Together, we will secure the future of arts in the schools, train tomorrow’s artists, build new audiences, recruit top faculty and educators, and enhance the quality of life in Silicon Valley.
