Education and Background
Ursula holds a Bachelor of Science in Graphic Design with a Supplemental in Art and a Multi-Subject Teaching Credential from San Jose State University.
Ursula has taught in the Los Gatos, Saratoga, Campbell, Union and Cupertino school districts both as a classroom teacher and as an art instructor for over 20 years.
Ursula worked as a Graphic Artist for KTEH Channel 54 (a local PBS Station) and for Richie Ross Communications in Sacramento. She also taught Drawing, Painting and Cartooning, and 3-D Design courses to K-5 through enrichment programs offered by Los Gatos/Saratoga Parks and Recreation Department. Early in her career, she was the Art Director for various summer camps including Hillbrook Summer Camp and Camp Kyburz, (a camp especially designed for youth with Type 1 Diabetes.)
Her specialty is working in pastels, charcoal and charcoal pencil. Her work has appeared on-air through KTEH, in local newspapers and numerous print materials for local businesses.
