“I begin by inspiring creativity—telling a story about an artist and their work, ask students to describe what they see in the artwork. I present an example I have done in similar style, ask they create something using same medium but to make it their own. I ask older students to plan ahead first, with thumbnail sketches, and come up with three different solutions, to not to be satisfied with their first idea.”
