Education and Background
Anna graduated from the College of Education for Kindergarten Teachers, Solothurn, Switzerland, and did post-undergraduate studies in Contemporary Art and Marketing and Management at the University of Bern, Switzerland.
Anna Fankhauser holds a Swiss teaching credential, and had wide experience in Switzerland as an educator in museums (art, natural history and history) as well as in castles. For more than a decade, Anna nas created programs and hands-on-projects for kids, schools, family concerts, summer camps and birthday party events. She spent eight years in Kunstlerhaus Solothurn, organizing art shows and communicating with the 40 artists represented. She cites her time as an Arts Council Member of the State of Solothurn, Switzerland, was a highlight in her career.
In addition to teaching camps at CSMA, Anna has taught art at the Cantor Art Center (Family Sundays/Cultural Art Partnership with the Boys and Girls Clubs in East Menlo Park and East Palo Alto), Palo Alto Art Center (docent for school classes, art classes and the Cultural Kaleidoscope Program), the San Jose Art Museum (School Program) and the Extended Summer School Program for the Euphrat Museum of De Anza College. Anna teaches art at John Muir and Collins Elementary Schools in the Cupertino School District.
