Education and Background
Andy holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Illustration from San Jose State University and a Masters of Counseling Psychology from Santa Clara University.
Andy graduated from San Jose State University with a BFA in illustration, and also briefly studied at the Art Center Night program in Pasadena. He has worked as an illustrator, muralist and storyboard artist. His illustrations can be seen on posters, in print and on digital projects. He has painted nearly 20 murals, and shown paintings in Los Angeles, Portland, and throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. In addition to teaching for nearly ten years at CSMA, he has taught classes and weekend workshops to students of all ages and skill levels. In February 2016 he taught a one day visual storytelling workshop for inmates at San Quentin Penitentiary. He has also worked with youth at Meridian Gallery in San Francisco, led several weekend workshops at the Walt Disney Family Museum, and recently collaborated with the Santa Clara Public Library on a summer class series for adults
