HERITAGE BANK OF COMMERCE GRANT TO THE COMMUNITY SCHOOL OF MUSIC
AND ARTS SUPPORTS SEASON OF EXHIBITIONS IN MOHR GALLERY
Heritage’s commitment to The Fine Art of Banking
extends to supporting fine art in the community
(Mountain View, CA) The Community School of Music and Arts (CSMA)
at Finn Center announced that it has received support from Heritage
Bank of Commerce to present art exhibitions in 2005-06 in CSMA’s
Mohr Gallery. Opened in 2004 and named in honor of donors Nancy
and Larry Mohr, the gallery is Silicon Valley’s newest
exhibition venue exhibiting work by local and international artists,
as well as CSMA’s faculty and students.
“
Heritage Bank of Commerce is delighted to partner with CSMA in
bringing exhibitions to the community,” said William Del
Biaggio, Jr., Chairman of the Board of Heritage Bank of Commerce. “We
have been a longtime supporter of the school and its mission
of Arts for All. We hope that art lovers of all ages will visit
CSMA’s Mohr Gallery, a venue for enjoying the rich and
diverse multi-cultural art that exists in our region.”
Mohr Gallery presents a wide range of media throughout the year,
with exhibitions changing every two months. Currently on exhibit
through November 28th are paintings, prints, ceramics and installation
by CSMA faculty artists Lori Coan, Brun Pennington and Hua Zhang.
“
We are grateful to Heritage Bank of Commerce for their generous
support,” said CSMA’s executive director Angela McConnell. “Because
of their sponsorship, people of all ages throughout the region
will be able to enjoy exhibitions featuring work by both rising
and established local artists.”
As a local business, McConnell noted that Heritage is committed
to The Fine Art of Banking; as a community member, she commented,
they are equally committed to supporting fine art and accessibility
to arts education, which is the core of CSMA’s mission.
