Starting in Fall 2017, CSMA’s Music School introduced a new Music Certificate Program!

Participation in the Certificate Program is appropriate for students of all ages and skill levels, whether they are just beginning their instrument lessons, or have been involved in music studies for many years. It will guide students through the different elements of a well-rounded music education, as well as help them track their progress and growth. The Certificate Program can be customized based on each student’s particular interests.

The full program is comprised of three levels (Beginning, Intermediate and Advanced). Each level requires students to take part in private music lessons, Music Theory (or Core Curriculum) classes, performance opportunities and concert attendance. The Beginning level is designed to be within reach of most CSMA students. The Intermediate and Advanced levels are for students who are looking for a more demanding experience. Students at the Intermediate and Advanced levels may choose an emphasis in jazz, chamber music or composition.

Students can expect to spend two to three years at each level. Students earning a certificate at any level will be celebrated at an annual CSMA commencement ceremony.
