CSMA is proud to feature an annual student art show at the office of Congresswoman Anna Eshoo. Artwork from schools in our Art4Schools program in Rep. Eshoo’s district are displayed in the main lobby of her office.
This year’s featured schools are:
Bubb Elementary, Mountain View
Castro Elementary, Mountain View
Huff Elementary, Mountain View
Landels Elementary, Mountain View
Mistral Elementary, Mountain View
Monta Loma Elementary, Mountain View
Springer Elementary, Los Altos
Stevenson Elementary, Mountain View
Theuerkauf Elementary, Mountain View
The student artists and their families were honored during a reception at Rep. Eshoo’s office on Wednesday, May 30. Each student received a Congressional Certificate of Recognition, presented to them personally by Rep. Eshoo.
During the event, Rep. Eshoo shared inspirational words with the students. She spoke about why art is important to all the citizens who come to her office for assistance, and gave advice to the students, who she sees as the future leaders of our country.
This annual tradition was begun nearly 20 years ago by Linda Covello, CSMA’s Art School Director. Each year, Rep. Eshoo generously invites the student artists to her office for a reception, recognizes them with a Congressional certificate, and thanks them for loaning their artwork to her office. She always lets the children know how important their art is her personally, as well as the community.
Congresswoman Eshoo represents California’s 18th Congressional District, covering portions of San Mateo, Santa Clara and Santa Cruz counties. We thank her for her continued support of the arts and arts education, in our community and in the nation!
