CSMA Merit Scholarships are awarded to CSMA Private Lesson students who have shown a high level of commitment, talent and achievement in their CSMA studies. All CSMA Merit Scholars are nominated by their teachers, and must audition before a panel of judges.

Merit Scholars learn valuable skills including training in stage presence, performing in ensembles, rehearsing effectively and building a performance portfolio.

Merit Scholars and their families are seen as the ambassadors of the CSMA Music School. They are role models for all of our music students and their families. Merit Scholars perform regularly, both at CSMA and at events throughout the community.

Merit Scholars have been accepted to some of the nation’s most prestigious music programs, including The Juilliard School and Berklee College of Music.

Congratulations to the 2018-2019 Merit Scholars!
