Student Services Associate

Regular Part time, Non-exempt

Community School of Music and Arts (CSMA) is seeking an energetic person with proven multi-tasking abilities to provide friendly, responsive and effective customer support for students and visitors of Finn Center. This is a part-time position, 15-20 hours per week. The ability to work on Saturdays from 9am - 1pm is required; weekday hours are flexible. With other members of the Student Services department, the Student Services Assistant will be tasked with reception and registration for any visitors or phone calls, in addition to miscellaneous office and computer tasks as needed.


  • Provide a warm and welcoming atmosphere for all guests, staff and faculty
  • Provide exceptional customer service in a busy environment in a calm and professional manner
  • Assist with registration and class enrollment
  • Respond to and follow through on general phone, walk-in and e-mail inquiries
  • Any additional administrative tasks as required by the supervisor


  • Friendly, welcoming demeanor, positive attitude, sense of humor appreciated
  • Excellent customer service skills and experience required
  • Ability to multitask with frequent interruptions in a high-energy environment
  • Working knowledge of Google Suite and Microsoft Suite products
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing
  • Ability to work with diverse constituencies, individually and as a group
  • Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to prioritize and work independently
  • Accurate and efficient data entry skills
  • Proficiency in Spanish or another second language preferred
