Music4Schools Program Coordinator

Regular Full Time, Non-exempt 40 hours per week

The Coordinator provides administrative support to Music4Schools Program Manager and coordinates scheduling of in-school and after-school music programs. The Coordinator will foster positive and consistent communication between CSMA, faculty, schools, and parents.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain calendars, schedules, faculty and school contact information
  • Coordinate before and after-school programs, including facility rentals and student registration
  • Coordinate programming and scheduling of Music in Action and Summer Honor Programs
  • Coordinate program evaluation process
  • Assist faculty in coordinating concerts; create fliers and concert programs
  • Process and track invoice payments for contractors and vendors
  • Maintain contract database
  • Organize and manage music resources, including instruments and online resources
  • Coordinate faculty training events and meetings
  • Coordinate and manage volunteers and interns
  • Work in partnership with various departments within CSMA to maintain program’s success
  • Travel to and from school sites as needed
  • Any special projects as determined by the Program Manager



  • Background in vocal and/or instrumental music
  • Excellent organizational and administrative skills with careful attention to detail
  • Ability to organize survey data and disseminate results
  • Strong computer skills, particularly MS Office (Excel, Word) and Google Apps and Drive; Adobe Illustrator a plus
  • Outstanding oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to communicate in a positive and consistent way with faculty, school administrators and teachers, and parents
  • Customer service oriented; outgoing personality that thrives on interaction with teachers, school administrators, parents, and co-workers
  • Must have reliable transportation to travel to school sites on a regular basis
  • Bilingual in Spanish/English a plus
  • Education

  • BA in Arts Administration, Music or Music education (or equivalent experience)
  • Experience

  • 3-5 years administration (preferably arts administration) experience
  • Music or Music Education background
